That is another variation for the slanted shell. It is not as lacy and closed up more. I have done both and they work up nice. There are hundreds of variations of sitches.

Hey I am doing this for a baby afghan for a friend... but I was wondering why you have to do the slanted shells into the sc? Why can't you do them in the ch2 space?

This work looks good if you sew it on nice bath towels, they will look so much more elegant. I know Italians do that.
