During the summer hiatus between the 1st and 2nd seasons of "Three's Company," John Ritter accepted an intensely dramatic role in the made-for-TV "Leave Yesterday Behind." The carefree life of college athlete and veterinary student Paul Stallings (John Ritter) is grotesquely altered when he is paralyzed in an accident during a polo match. Attractive horse trainer Marny Clarkson (Carrie Fisher) tries her best to lift Paul out of his funk after his tragic mishap, and in so doing falls in love with him, leaving her fiance (Robert Urich) in the lurch. "Leave Yesterday Behind" aired on ABC on May 14, 1978. The Carpenters recorded the song in 1978, but it wasn't until 2001 that Richard finally completed the track for the album "As Time Goes By." I grew up in the house that this movie was filmed in. My parents still live there and the horse track still exists although it is now accompanied by the Amycel mushroom spawn plant. I've lived in San Juan Bautista all my life and have been deperately trying to find a copy of this movie! If anyone can help me out it would be very much appreciated....

If it was possible i would.The copy i have was made by somebody else, and it isnt a brilliant copy.Watchable though.When i get a recordble dvd player i will see if i can copy it for you:)

It's hard for me to picture these two in anyting else but Star Wars and sitcoms (I guess I'm the orignial "typecaster"). It looks like a very moving story and of course, the song is lovely.
