The fact that 6 months after David did this on Amercian Idol, that people are still discussing it and watching the video tells everything. That this was one of the most searched live event on the internet of 2008 also proves that it was the most amazing performance live ever on AI, or on the tv this year.
Also, Davids cd is awesome. Amazing. Every song is phenomenal.
No, chris daughtry never did this.

The idiot must be you. Before the song, Ryan said it was Chris'Cornell's version of "Billy Jean". I do not remember Chris Daughtry singing this song, but I could be wrong. And I believe the idiot beat boxer sang a song from 311, it was 311 the judges had not heard of, not sublime.

This song - from him - just rips your soul open - and pours right in. The emotion, the passion he sings this with - my g-d....send shivers. I sure wish he'd release this on something else...and more like it!

I wonder how Ryan Seacrest knew that this was Chris Cornell's version but the judges didn't.

This video shows you what idiots Simon, Paula and Randy are when it comes to music. This was not an original compilation or something new that David Cook came up with; it was ripped off from a real musician - CHRIS CORNELL.
The Judges are such idiots that they didn't even know that this Michael Jackson version had already been done by Chris. Another example was when the beat box idiot did the Sublime song and the judges didn't even know anything about Sublime.

Chris Cornell debuted his version of "Billie Jean" during his Unplugged concert in Stockholm, Sweden as part of the promotional tour of the then-new Audioslave album Revelations. He significantly changed the arrangement, slowing the song down, using grittier vocals and applying an alternative-rock instrumentation. A studio version of the cover (featuring a full rock band) appears on Cornell's 2007 solo album, Carry On.

This is the preformance that really hit it home for me. I loved what he did with "Elenore Rigby" and his version of "Hello" captivated me, but this...he NAILED it. He won it with this one. |
