This guy is great. He cuts through all the other bull that gets attached to TM. Even David Lynch, a major hero of mine, has been drawn into the talking of bullshit about this subject. Good to have some sense spoken at last. And this guy's voice is great. I could listen to him all day,

What it offers is a means of deep relaxation and calmness along with a number of other forms of meditation.

What utter nonsense!

I should add one further thing. Ask a TM devotee whether they believe in levitation - they promoted it big time when I did the courses - now they show tapes of this nonsense sport of bouncing on plastic as evidence of flying that they say cannot be performed unless you are in a certain mental state using the technique. It's just practise folks!
I am not anti meditation or the TM "technique", just the cultlike devotion to the Maharishi and the nonsense mystique that is promoted by devotees.

Look. Just say a meaningless sound over and over! That's all there is to it! Did two courses in 1979. The second one was over several days for several thousand dollars - even then! Lots of droning on and pontificating so that you fall asleep.
In those days the teachers promoted this notion of Sidhic flying! NOw they are more careful about it.
All you will get for your $2000 is a sound. Mine is Auinga! Another one is Mien (Spelling might be wrong here but sound is the same)

Tell me about my computer monitor and the objects around it and I will believe you are a remote viewer.
Tell me what the monitor sits upon.

I received an enquiry regarding a previous message on this page, and post the reply if others have the same question: Ayam Atma Brahm is not a mantra of Transcendental Meditation, but it is a Mahavakya - great saying - which translates as I am the transcendental Self, I am Brahman. The key to this experience is Transcendental Meditation. The mantras given by Maharishi come from the Vedic Tradition of his Master. They are passed on as an oral tradition, from teacher to student. |
