She would be better alone. Im my experience you should strip her about 2 and a half weeks after she got pregnant. I only strip labidochromis cerealus (electric yellows) because they tend to refuse to spit babies and get thin from not eating. Just remember strip her before she gets to thin even if its 3 and a half weeks. You can feed the babies in a breeders net crushed flake. good luck.

have you ever raised electric yellows? how long do they typically incubate and when can i strip the eggs if i choose to do so. i have 2 females both holding eggs. if i put her in a tank by herself should i keep dither fish or btter her alone?

aggression is never fully avoided. what helps is to keep a good female to male ratio. 1m to 3 females is proffered.Also keeping them well fed helps and enough places to hide. If your observant you can sometimes isolate a fish that has been getting picked on before its too late. |
