it depends which brands you get, the diorshow waterproof mascaras are high quality and they do not rub out when you splash water off. i got it in azure blue and there was no sign of blue on my skin around my eyes even after washing my face with acne face wash and water for about 2 minutes. so have a little faith.

water proof mascara get clunky really easily and dries up quick

the idea of waterproof mascara is to keep it from running and melting all over the place if you sweat, get caught in the rain or cry. They can't really create a product that keeps from ~rubbing~ off once its wet because honestly it has to come off sometime. They assume if you know you have mascara on you'll be at least a little careful rubbing your eyes once they're wet.

technically...u shouldn't be swimming with make up on anyways it kida pollutes the water cuz most mascaras have formeldahyde (did spell that right?? probs not ^^;) and other chemicals

well it depends... if its gluey then its more "wet" and so when it hardens its less likely to come off if you rub it

it doesn't once u touch ur face it comes off believe me I tried at the beach stupid "water proof" mascaras don't work
