True, if you were a republican. I think as a nation we're probably too narcissistic to handle politics at this point. All of the massive historical monuments to stupity are like this - arabs vs jews, croats vs serbs, hutus vs. tutsies, sunnis vs shiites. Some vague imaginary b.s. filtered through infantile self importance. Makes us feel less responsible for our own misery - "oh, it's all bush's/obama's/reagan's/ carter's/clinton's fault". So if it's clear that there's no point in having democrats as presidents, doesn't it follow that elections should be ceased in favor of permanent republican control? This partisanship is so lame, on both sides. Nobody's "stupid" for voting out the current party, just as nobody was "stupid" for voting for reagan in '80. Individual administrations, regardless of party, can either be great or miserable. And we don't have to go back to the carter years for an example of a miserable presidency.
