I remember I had only 4 months to learn this piece before performing it with an orchestra. Wow that was hard work...I remember skipping school (I was 17 back then) in order to practice. Spent about 8 hours every day. I miss those days.

Yes, not only does Gould feel every single note, but he does something else by going beyond the piano and into the world of the music. In other words, he is a performer of the music, first and foremost.
