I have experienced this a few times. In 1 instance my experience was a little bit different. I was aware that I was awake but was not able 2 open my eyes or move after a few seconds of struggling to move music started 2 play in my ears and it gradually got a bit louder - I started 2 panic and what felt like a very long time passed and I was finally able 2 move and literally jumped out of bed and decided 2 join my sister in her bed because of what just happened. What do u think happened here??

What you are saying sir is, that the line between sanity and insanity is not clearly defined. The mind does present at times illogical, unreal images as it wanders back and forth.

Even if out of body experiences could be produced in the lab, how does that prove they're hallucinations and not genuine? It's already well known that physical changes can cause out of body experiences, or there would not be the phenomenon of near death experiences.
At any given moment all of us have a certain percent of mind on this side, and a certain percent elsewhere. In altering the brain one can shift the percent higher to other realms.

my other OBE was when i needed to pee at night, i got out of my bed, walked to the toilet (no closed doors in my house) and just started peeing, i realised it felt like i was peeing, but nothing was coming out. when the feeling of me peeing went away i walked back to bed not thinking much of it, but i saw my face, just before going back to bed, thought i was dead, panicked and went back into my body in an instant. unfortunately, i had pissed in my bed during astral planing. =[

omg i've had 2 of them, one was in the car, and i kept floating, i got about a good 5 metres into the air, i was staring at my body, almost as if i was looking into some sort of enchanted mirror, i was thinking how beautiful i looked (im a boy, i know that sounds gay) then the roof of the car hid my face, i panicked and i was back in my body, the other time i needed to pee like you (ill explain in next comment)

thats different, sleep paralysis, theres a chemical that relaxes your body thats released before you go to sleep, so that you dont move around during sleep (mine doesn't work to well cause i always move around during sleep) but your still awake when its released

thanks. this happened about 3 times that i remember. it was so weird that i wanted to get up so badly. when i couldn't move i wanted to yell and when that didn't happened i felt helpless and just waited until it was over.

Temporary physical paralysis is a fairly common preliminary to an OOBE, although it's not in itself part of the OOBE. The sensation of being held down, especially if combined with the sensation of someone or something sitting on your chest, is called (in Scandinavia) 'The Hag' and believed to be caused by a spirit. (Although I doubt that it is.) I was chatting to someone who had the experience just the other day. |
