David Archuleta just sang this song 'full' less than a month ago at 'Ford Day'. He sang it 'full' on local TV when he was little.
He sang last verse on American Idol becayse that's all the time he was given and it's his fav. verse.

Luv2BugULol -- not really. David condensed the song for time and chose his FAVORITE verse. He sang the whole song at Ford Day, with a few minor lyric changes. He has said in interviews that it's about 'the central message in a song.'

The real reason the first verse was left of out the song is because it says "imagine there's no heaven" or something to that effect. I never get the words right. Anyway, David is a Mormon and believes there's a heaven. He didn't want to sing words he didn't believe were true so he left out the first verse. Very honorable of him to stay true to himself no matter what people may think. I respect that.
