I meant Renderer, lol. If you're using the default renderer, it wont look as cool or realistic as it does in mental ray or vray etc.. In mental ray there is a option tab in called Indirect Illumination in which if you mark Final Gather, Caustics and Global Illumination you can archieve greater results in such as more realistic rendering but takes hell of alot of time to render than default renderer. But overall the Lighting plays a huge role in creating a realistic scene.

Lots of newbies can get deceive by your video because you implied that it is hard, if not very hard. Anyone with basic knowledge in 3ds max can model an iPod nano, its just the lighting, rendering and the texturing that is tricky. The render is pretty nice, I'll give you credit for that.
