your a real good "tutorial-ist" lol but im making a guitar, i used curves to cheat my way around the basic outline ;) then when i press fill hole it not only fills the whole but fills some of the exterior of it too =S

Thanks big! was looking for something like this for ages. One question, how would I make a fill hole for a letter with a gap in it like a capital A?

ah dude..this tutorial is not very practical for text. If you had a long word like what you had before, it would take you forever to finish them all of. It's better to use another mathod that was mentioned from before.

You also could do that in the menu bar > create > text (then you set extrude depth, bevel, etc for every letters at once). Never the less I like your thec nique of extruding with a single straight curve... I didn't know that..

You could get it done faster with the bevel plus tool, but there's some good stuff in there about cleaning up models and filling holes so I see why you'd teach this first. Thanks for the free tut. |
