by saying "that's all we're going to get," Jesus speaks of the pharisees who "worship & confess" out loud (almost like a presentation, entertainment for others), he wouldn't be exhalted in heaven. personally, i think that its just a warning/reminder to us that prayer is a personal communication with God. it doesn't really matter if you praise God loudly, as long as you have no ulterior motives for praising him. just that you want to and that he deserves to be praised!

But you can sing in your heart to god and when you are in a special environment it must not be the church you also can take place in a park or so where you do not disturb anyone and than sing loudly from your heart and praise the lord with your heart and love and mind and soul
