mate music's objective and if you don't happen to like a style or a band, you just don't. I applaud you for not saying something like this is shite as if that was a definitive statement.

Hey dude! That wasn't ment to be provocative, It's just I have a habit of questioning the reasons behind why things are so popular, when I can't see why! That's why I asked what your fav JD song was. It's nice to know that dude's like you are listening to something other than the usual shite. Take it easy

Insult me all you want but this is my opinion. In general I'm really not a fan of the 80's "sound". I love the 70's because it sounds almost gritty and old in a good way. Not a big fan of the 90's sound either (with the strong exception of Oasis and Nirvana). But the 80's sound...I just dislike. The Smiths sound too much like the era they are from, which probably sounds stupid or ignorant, but I hope someone will understand.

i completely understand that, i mean at first i didnt like JD because they were a down toned depressing sound to me. im only 15 but i suppose after listning to them for a while i saw a bit more in them, i suppose there one of these bands you have to take what you personally get out of it. my favorite JD song is either shes lost control or dead souls, i just think theyr quite thought provoking to be honest, but as i say you might find JD complete shit, an opinion your entitled to.

What would you say is Joy Divisions best mate? The reason that I ask is that I can't see the appeal of them at all. Are they one of those band's that everyone is supposed to be into? Cos I can't see why! Even moving on after the death of Curtis, I wasn't a massive fan of the bands that spawned from JD. What am I missing?
