I'm very impressed! She controls the horse merely with her weight/seat. That's certainly good body tuning! But there's something I don't like... the curb bit's shanks are totally horisontal - not vertical. It puts a great amount of pressure on the horse's tongue. I think she has attached the reins too tight :o(

Dressage was originally created for the horses of knights. The classical movements were used in battle and on parade.

I just googled "dressage" to see what it was... now i'm wondering who in the blue blazes thought this up! I mean I GUESS it's cool, and it's surely difficult... but yeah, who was the first person who wanted to to see a horse dance bad enough to make it happen?

Hmmm, apparently computer monitor quality varies for the below "commenters" to your entry. She does INDEED have the reins attached to two silver buckles on the front of her pants. see 2:19-2:21 and 2:32-2:47. Clear as DAYLIGHT. It's still amazing...no tail-swishing and the horse does marvelously. Really artistic.

Absolutely beautiful! Both the woman and the horse are incredibly talented. This is a true meaning of being one with the horse.

You are correct at the fact that she is a true horsewoman,and beutiful rider.The comment about the reins is also correct.The pommel is much lower than the line if the rein which is in fact,attached to her.She is using her seat and her lower body to direct the horse.Her arm motion also help her steer(her arm and hand movements change her body position)but she does a beautiful job with theatrics to disguise it.The horse is well schooled and the woman is beautiful on a horse.Excellent demonstration |
