A Spaceship Model and vintage SFX Tribute. All Spacescenes from the Movie are cut in full length together. 7:22 Min. They're ALMOST all in chronological order. (i only flipped the Palomino drifting into the Black Hole at the beginning) All Space Scenes in one row ;). And remember: NO Computergraphics back then. All was handmade. For instance the nozzle exhausts are all drawn by hand!

On the hole (see what I did there?), it wasn't a bad movie. A Special Edition is long overdue. Being honest, there were several evident strings in this film that should be removed and several deleted scenes that need to be popped back in. Special Edition, please, guys!

The Palomino. Unless I miss my guess, was this not one of the first instances in Sci-Fi where we ships moving as they would in reality?

if the dining room in the control tower takes up that much space at the 3:40 mark, how the hell did they build that huge control room just above it?

thank you... but now of course i want to know more. it's amazing, with so many movies you can get so many trivia facts & infos and pics from the set and interviews etc but with this movie, you can't even get a picture of the director, and yet this guy made so many films. how is it possible, I was wondering, when I tried to find out more about the film, which I love, especially the ending, where she leaves her old heaven and hell concept of reality behind to enter a new reality. any links?

I'd forgotten how good this looked.

Gary Nelson is retired and lives in the Las Vegas area. He does not play the part of the humanoid whose mask is removed. That was actually played by the drapery department head at Disney.

This movie reminds me of "Star Wars Knights of the old Republic 2"
