That report was Actually only about the M829A1. Which has had a blunt nose which had troubles when first pentrating the Armor. Plus the D.U. was weak and would break apart easily. After the Trials (done by U.S. and Germany) we took what we learned and made the M829A2 and later the M829A3 which Kontakt-5 will have a much harder time stopping. Since K-5 only adds about 250mm RHAe against APFSDS. however HEAT is a different story

Depends on What type of round Your Firing. And with the L-55 Cannon on the Leopard 2A6 effective range goes way up especially with APFSDS. The 9M119M refleks has a range of about 6.1KM but pentrating the frontal armor of a tank at that range (especially since its a HEAT round). Is very unlikely. Plus the MRM-XX being made by the U.S. has a 8.6KM range

Exactly, the best weapon for Leopard2 work on distance 2 km. For T-90 (only for Russia) 2-4 km( new missile up to 6-8 km next year?). Russia guide missile attack Leopard or M top tower, not from front.
