it lets you run unauthorized applications on your iPhone,iPod touch, iPhone 3G. Unlocking means that you can use any GSM carrier that you want. Even the one's Apple doesn't allow, like T-Mobile in the US

hi, I need help ... when i tried to restore my iphone, which was already unlocked with ziphone and being used without at&t , it turned on but a message came out saying to connect it to itunes, which said that the sim card was not authorized and it didn't turn on. .which I don't have anymore because my plan expired. the iphone is the old version and I was trying to upgrade it to 2.0. the restore looked like it worked but I just can't turn it on .what should I do?? PLEASE HELP!!! thnks in advance

Actually installer is an open source package manager while app store only has what apple will approve in it (no emulators, themes ect.)

no it comes with the app store which is just the same
