vernaculos, its a simple analysis yet I would disagree with your conclusion it would seem more like a darwinian 'survival of the fittest' analysis or more complex, in the writers discourse re a dystopian american urban nightmare. I just enjoyed the clarity of the complexity of the narrative, with it archs, at points in the stoyline that where beautiful in its construction and application.

Anybody that claims they like Stringer Bell is sick as hell. This weak arse bych always stickin' Avon Barksdale every chance he get. And all the hidin behind miggaz instead of doin' his own work. I herd it time and time again "Stringer its own you!" this was said by so many people. Stringer was never made for the game and he hurt the Barksdale organization more than the Stansfields. He was the enemy from within. If you cool with that, you sick in the head.

I've heard it speculated that since The Wire is filmed in Baltimore, written by Simon whose background is newspapers not movies, a lot of the actors are local talent... it was just off the radar of Hollywood. The Wire's people didn't smooze with the people who decide the awards in Hollywood. It sounds like a reasonable explanation.

the wire is the best show, how come to they didn't get emmys? greys anatomy focus on orgys more than they focus on saving lives. white folks didn't want embrace urban culture like the wire but they nonimate show that benifits their lifestyle its either that or amerikkka is that stupid.

The way I looked at it is -Stringer -Thinking Man Avon- Raw unadultered killer instinct, which dominates the world, hence our extinction. Simple isn't it?
