Great video, 5 stars well done. This video deserve full credit. When I look at the history of Swansea and see how it has changed so much makes e want to cry. When I look back then and see Swansea now I find myself saying the City Council has ruined it. It will never be the same. Lot's of history here and gone for ever. Thanks to this viewer we can always remember by playing this video. One thing our Council can not take away, great memories.

Doesnt matter how much money the council pump into development of the city centre, it will always be a second rate tip! Bring big name shops to the city, there is nothing here at the moment.

Jesus christ castle gardens has changed ALOT lol i didnt even recognise it. swansea has changed so much i hope it doesnt change to much later on in the years cos some of my best memories are here and in town

i really miss the morfa thats where as a baby i used to go to watch my sisters running and just sit in the middle of the track not the track but the grass in like the early 90's to late 90's my sister was the welsh hurddling champion also in scotland and ireland and thats whn i took up hurddling !! she met colin jackson and all the pro athletes back then

I was born in Swansea and now live elsewhere. The thing that's always bemused me about Swansea is that it has the potential to be beautiful. It's also got a lot of important history - the site of the world's very first passenger railway, the world's first electrically powered tram, biggest cooper smelting area in the world, and so on. But very few people living there know any of this and the tourism board and City Council don't seem to think it's important.

No it's not Swansea that has the problem, it's you. If you're dull enough to walk out infront of poor people wearing smart clothes, then you're dull enough to get beat up. Every city has poor people living in it, just look at London you little pretty boy. This city is'nt shit, people don't understand the definition of "shit", this city has just be underfunded by a biast Cardiff goverment. The appeal is getting better here, if middle europe is so good why don't you piss off back there?

What an interesting video. David Evans brought a tear to my eye as my Mum worked there for years and has recently passed away. The buildings look sad. It would be nice if you included some more of the beauty of Swansea such as the beaches, Gower, the Mumbles etc. Loved the accompanying song. Cheers from a Swansea resident of 30+ years :-D
