Yes we all knew they were trying to do this abomination. We have been fighting it for years.Governor Glendennig stopped it. Governor Erlick revived it and had the federal government fast track all the environmental studies and despite many, many objections from the public and a disclamer from the state highway department that this would NOT relieve traffic congestion on the Capital Beltway, official argument for the project, the project was given a green light.Governor O'Mally approves of this.

The ICC or Outer beltway was planned in the 60's. I feel bad for you but it was coming...

The people not too take it out on are the workers! But we should take it out on the companies as well as the state here are some companies:
Shirley Contracting Co., Clark Construction Group, Guy F. Atkinson Construction LLC, Trumbull Corp, Inter County Constructors, Corman Construction Inc.,Granite Construction Co, and G.A. and F.C. Wagman Inc.

It is also the construction companies mess...they have the ability to say no to the contracts but the FACT that Clark Construction (who is also responsible for gentrification in D.C. with their condos and other crap as well as the IMF's building #2 and a barracks at the School of the Americas) said yes to the contract makes them guilty. Nobody forced any of the companies involved in the ICC to get involved they did it because they chose to and that means we must take action against them!

hey i'm actually doin' a project on the ICC, and just wanted to say that if anyone has a problem with the ICC, don't take it out on the construction companies... it's the state's mess... they're just doin the dirty work...
