Mr Merckx would not agree with you. While he is the greatest he respects Armstrong tremendously. He is the best but you can't really say that lance would not be right there with him given the circumstances of that time.Merckx would probably also disagree with you about his pedalling.Anquetil was the master of the pedals.

He really was the artist of the pedals - Merckx was the best ever and would have eaten up Armstrong and Co as a snack. He raced and won all season and not just peaking in July. Wins speak for themselves - His results were the best ever.

armstrong was only intrested in one race a year, the tour, merckx, hinault etc wanted to win everything, they raced all year, not cherry pick races, there is no comparison

If you have to be a pro to comment on a pro, then why have a sport. All ther cyclists here are great and the sport gives great desire to push yourself.I detest folks who come off like oh, you dont know so, you cant comment. Bag it sonny. I cycled 20+ years and know enough to know they are all great cyclists. I see no mention of Coppi or Antiquel or Hinault or Van Impe or Major Tom and hey, I respect what I am reading. Its a shame to read keyboard courage on a video of a great cylist.
