I am really interested in Edward the VIII and the whole abdication saga.

And the reason Camilla's unpopular is because she was a home wrecker when Charles was married to Diana. If she was just a random divorced woman Charles had met after Diana died no one would care at all.

Let people pretend to be what they are not. They do not have a life.

As I have explained elsewhere, Charles' marriage was a CIVIL ceremony. When he becomes king he will present the government with a constitutional problem concerning the royal status of his wife. Should she be queen or not? And then, should he be head of the Church of England? Will the British people accept Camilla as our queen? Everything will be in the pot for them to stir.

Come now. Camilla Parker-Bowles may not be very popular, but it remains a fact that the heir apparent to the British throne is married to a divorcée.

very interesting to see this footage. she was a gold digger. he loved her more then she loved him. its lucky they met because he wasnt interested in reigning, he was a weak man. she looks as hard as nails

Impossible as Wallis never had any offspring!Thankfully.

I always liked that comment on how Baltimore should build a statue to Wallis- for saving Britain from Edward VIII! George V considered him a cad and hoped he wouldn't have children 'so nothing would come between Bertie + Lilibet and the throne'! Good riddance David+ Wallis were away from UK by WWII! Their pre-War and WWII cronies were suspect at best, traitorous at worst- + their attitude was exremely whiny+ungrateful in spite of being rescued with countless belongings from invading NAZIs.
