This proposal is an absolute disgrace for Formula 1. The greatest thing about Formula 1 is its history. Can you imagine what the record books would look like? Lewis Hamilton got 'x' points in his career along with 5 gold and two silver in the 2009 series. Pathetic!!

And why can't he just increase points given for victory? I mean, give 12 points for first place, it will be like in good old days - 4 point advantage. Or, if it is so important to have "golden" victories, give something like 15 point per victory. Wouldn't be enough? I just can't imagine, where this guy left his brain...

IndyCar is much better than F1 and allways was. But I like medals system. The only problem with it I have is that champion could be decided much earlier than with points system. For example there are 17 rounds. Driver A wins first 9 - so after first 9 races he is already champion. Then he can't keep it up and no top 10 finishes in last 8 races. Driver B runs 9 times second in first 9 races then wins 8 races.

This guy is an ass I agree, why did he make them change the tail and front wing on the cars, they look ugly as hell.

Ok Ecclestone is a COMPLETE asshole he canceled F1 race in France ,north america and maybe even in China just because its not profitable in the short term for him. For god sakes the guy is a billionaire he's only motivated by money this event was probably the biggest sport event in Canada (where I live) and probably also very important in France. He's a selfish bastard and I hope he'll get hit by a car ,just for the irony.

Well at least Bernie is against reverse grids and turning Formula 1 in GP2. The medals thing will never happen, I'm sure of that.
