Yeah I agree completely. I thought it was very interesting that ultimately a)robotics were used to create robots who 'love' as intended, or b) robotics were used to create robots who 'love' despite. To read morality into loving acts is missing the point.

thanks, 250100, for your input. i'll consider this a glitch in youtube allowance. go on your way, now, to bigger and better things, like silence.

jugga: you're right, pretty sad when your genius is left in the hands of the general public. maybe gibbard should have left his footprint in something more substantial, say, a biology textbook? maybe made up his own religion? still, whatever is looked at as genius, that will be looked at as genius. it is also unfortunate, our discourse; we have nothing to add to it but forgetful posts on a website designed to allow an ignorant few the chance to voice their worthless opinions.

How do I know? Well emo has been done before, and it's been done far better. Everyone instantly recognizes the signature work of The Cure and The Smiths, but nobody will ever recognize anything by Death Cab as iconic. Just look at The Smiths' "How Soon is Now"...almost everyone instantly recognizes that guitar riff, if not for the song itself, by the subsequent covers. Even Death Cab's band name is derivative of another artist. Pretty sad when you can't even come up with your own name.
