my girlfriend has sickle cell anemia and it broke my heart thinking about her life expectancy, despite all of that im going to marry this amazing woman. i wish there was something i can do to help....

I am sorry to hear that, Hailey almost died from a Staff infection and VOD. There were 2 kids that we knew that died while recovering from a BMT while there immune systems were suppressed there was a 7month old that died before he ever made it to transplant. When you get to the point of a transplant the odds are still 50%. I am very sorry about your father.

Hi, My doctors are currently trying to convince me to get a Bone Marrow transplant. I have a type of anemia called Diamond Blackfan Anemia and its when red bloods cells die prematurely. I was just wondering where you took your daughter for the transplant and what did you have to do before the actual transplant. Thanks.

My wife had a BMT 6 months ago.she has AML-M4.She is 36 years old.prognosis is Great.They gave her 30% chance survival before..now 70% chance.University of Nebraska.Leid Transplant Center.

We have been blessed and I think God know exactly what he is doing even if we don't understand it. I can look back now and say ....Oh ya it all makes sence now... Don't ask "why" God knows what he is doing just trust him.

Explain? You don't believe that if God allows a situation to happen to you he can't find a way to use it for his good? This has been life changing for us. It has made us all closer, we are active in Camp Quality and the Leukemia and Lymphome society. We speak to others that are going threw the same thing. We have a diffrent look on life now. Only God can take something so horrible and turn it to something to help others. GOD IS AWESOME, When God is for you who can stand against you??

I feel personal God allows things to happen for a reason. This has truely been a life changing experiance, Mostly for the good. At times it was very hard, but God can takethe worst sitautions in your life and turn it into something wonderful. Watch our Make a Wish video. That would not have been possible with out this happening. But there has been so many more wonderful things have happend in our lifes because of this. We have gotten off our butts and found ways to help others.
