I personally love Animal Collective and respect them very music as artists but I've still got to disagree. It might not be just the drugs (otherwise we'd all be Animal Collective) but it has got to be a large influence even if its just for the courage to really let it all out.The sheer amount that they talk about taking pills in their music should be evidence enough.

I say this respectively: I have no idea what you're talking about. I never said drugs actually affected the song-making process. I was actually referring to the enjoyment one can get out of it.

Okay, you have points, buut since you've never done drugs where are you coming from in your hypothesis, because if you've never done them yourself then how do you know they affects, its not like AC drops acid then go into a recording sesh, they make the music they make due to the imaginations and creativty, not the drugs they intake.
