I will make the point, as a person of mixed ethnicity, that while YES European- and American-created institutions (imperialism post 1500, corporate capitalism, industrialism) have caused most of the social and environmental injustices that we know of today... many cultures have engaged in projects of conquering their neighbors, controlling and destroying nature, etc. There are plenty of power-hungry individuals and organizations who are non-white, in non-white countries.

Unfortunately this all came to pass back in the Reagan administration. V.P. Bush even visited the factories where a conversation occurred (on video tape) where it was expressed that they were having trouble getting laws passed to get seeds patented. Prior to this, seeds could not be patented since that would mean MONOPOLY CONTROL OF FOOD, CONTROL OF POPULATION. Bush himself said on video that he was "in the dereg business" and would make sure it got resolved. Resolution = GM patents. Nice.
