i will disagree with GBcommander and his followers on the thought/belief that the lyrics refer to the reincarnation of the devil. as far as i m concerned, akerfeldt is an atheist, thus he recognises not any form of supernatural existence, neither god nor satan. He simply refers to these words metaphorically, i won't explain in what way, or in order to - what, at the moment. That was just my opinion, still; based on facts unlike the previous comments.

The song is about The summoning( or conjuration) of the devil. Ghost Reveries was supposed to be a concept album about demonic possession but Mikael liked Isolation years so much they decided to not make it a concept album. The video has nothing to do with the lyrics.

Exhaling. It is terrible on your vocal chords to scream while inhaling and will destroy them very quickly if you do it often.
