Tania not Tanya? While I think they're exaggerating a bit, some degree of net neutrality is already being lost due to throttling/traffic shaping and bandwidth/usage limiting.

idk im not really getting wats goin on but i think its kinda weird how everyone (or most ppl) arent taking this seriously

oh shit... thats definetely what i am scared off as a extreme supporter of net neutrality i mean virgin internet is getting huge and people dont care at all as long as they can save a buck

Interesting little drama =). Its very amusing to see well done acting. And its always a pleasure to view. Those that delve past the aspect of this. Are in the same with people that believed radio shows, when they made believable skits. It is nice to see these. As they do create (most times), great debates over what ifs, etc.

Do people understand the implications of the internet ending... it would cripple global economics ten times worse than whats going on today.. its not going to happen this is just another mindless publicity stunt for the girl with the boobs! Wake up people... these days scare tactics sell!

So long as there is hackers in the world the internet will not simply end. Surely the govt wants to limit every single thing they can, the internet is not going anywhere. What would be entirely so bad even if it did? We got along just fine before the internet, I personally don't see what the problem would be if it went away. Then people would actually get out of the house once in a while, what's so bad about that? Either way you're delusional, thinking it's going away.

Basically the issue to control over internet access. ISPs want to have control over what we access via net restriction methods. They want to reduce the way the internet is used to that which is similar to TV packages. Allowing access to only certain sites depending on what package you pay and opted for. eg. If you would like to access YouTube it would probably be on the standard package as it's mainstream, however if you want to access say a site about dog care, you would have to pay extra.
