i know exactly how you feel. these songs were literally perverted by the totalitarian systems. The same things happened in my country during Communism. The beautiful patriotic and Christian hymns' style was copied and used for mean purposes. Perhaps we should go before this and feel the joy and enthusiasm of the first audiences and the authenticity of the divine gift of this music.

the march in itself is wonderful, but it always reminds me of battle royal, and the way how facist governments have always misused it for their own oppresive agenda.
this and other wonderful prussian and austrian marches have regretably been stained by facism. damn, i hate that. |
