Human shield's, far greater character flow and motions, greater knife combat. The list goes on & on. I played the original MGO & loved it but honestly MGO2 has it beat in every aspect.

MGO was A test to see if 1. lot's of people would play an online MGS and 2. What they liked most about it. MGO2 is MGO improved, Better CQC, Better more in depth Tactics/teamwork, Skills, Customization, competitive tournaments, In depth clan support, greater immersion in maps, more support based special characters, better voice acting, more emblem's and a level system, 8 vs 8 or 4 vs 4, evolving game with new game modes, maps, characters and competitive playlists added frequently,
