granted, they may be pissed but technically if the torrent was fake did you really steal anything from them? Technically i don' think anything illegal has taken place from your standpoint.

surely that must be illegal i mean putting effectively a tracking virus on your computer i mean they could of had access to your internet cache and if you don on-line banking your bank account o.0

The EA company, recently put a "Fake Torrent" of there program The Sims. I was one of the people who downloaded this torrent. EA made there own tracker to track there "torrent" Two weeks later I get a letter from my ISP saying that EA is pissed at me. I don't want to go into the details, but court is not fun,.

it just depends cause bit torrent is legal for downloading in the USA cause bit torrent is stationed in Switzerland so your not downloading American products also if the Government comes up with some random bullshit to put you in prison their are alternatives....if you put the torrent files in your itunes if you delete the folder they should stay on your ipod even tho they are not on your computer...also you can hide your IP address either way your safe its almost impossible to get caught.

you can legaly download it as long as you don't use or upload it wich is what makes it difficult because you need a down/up ratio of atleast .5 for most torrent downloading software like vuze (formely azureus) so you need a ratio of .5> to not get limited "download speeds".

torrents are legal, it's legal to download them if it isn't protected by a copyright law or something like that.
