Making a website think you're using IE? Simple. In Opera (on Mac OS X, a bit different on Windows/Linux) click Opera>Quick Preferences>Edit Site Preferences. Then go over to the Network tab and select a browser to be identifies as or masked as being used.

I have been seing some site check if you are using IE and then refuse you access, I guess this is a way of trying to force more to abandon IE but it is just a slap in the fase to the user.

Safari for Windows is the best, the navigation speed is very fast.

What about forcing to upgrade your browser, or forcing javascript or cookies to be enabled? IE 6.0 sucks with CSS, so what's wrong with forcing an upgrade to the same browser (7.0)?

You can get Safari for Windows now.

Go to about:config. Right click>new string. Name it general.useragent.override. Type in the browser string.

IETab isn't an option if one is on a Mac. Anyway, I simply refuse to use websites that are restricted to only working with MSIE. Time to get with the 21st century and the W3 standards, you lazy IE-only web developers!
