Sweet my camera has a shutter speed of 1/3000 sec :D Now I only have to learn how to time remap in AE :P

the shutter speed was set to 1/1000 sec which means that it was capturing the frame that quickly. that allows the picture to remain sharp rather than blurring with motion. it has nothing to do with the speed of the video. He used AE to slow the video down and a filter within AE called Pixel Motion to keep it from looking stuttery.

It's a setting on the camera that makes the shutter speed 1/000 of a second and then he (sped it up?) in After Effects.
