A documentary on Aarne Tenkanen, the legendary singing tram driver from Kallio, Helsinki (Finland). Originally a fictitious character in Gösta Sundqvist´s (Leevi & The Leavings) radio programs. Then, by a popular demand, Tenkanen transformed overnight into a singer with a backing band (Tempuntekijät) in 1995, scoring a minor hit with 'Hemaisevan seksikäs pörröpää'. He has been on the road ever since. This gravel-voiced, outspoken minstrel is a continuing source of fascination for the British author (Digital Creativity) and film-maker (The Hexham Syndrome) Owen Kelly, who is making yet another documentary on Tenkanen. Seemingly he couldn´t capture all aspects of this enigma in his first film, There´s Only One Aarne Tenkanen. This time the stakes are higher, and Kelly gets valuable assist from Dr. Sam Inkinen, a media scholar and a gastronome. Kallio, a tough working class district of Helsinki, has a defining role in the saga with its well-worn sights and drunken luminaries. Featuring Otto Talvio, Reetta Ravi, Suffeli (Thee Ultra Bimboos), Juha 'Kökkis' Kokkonen (Protestants, Archangels), Stinde, Spädä, Väiski, Kettu, etc. Such a power does Gösta Sundvist´s (1957-2003) legacy have, that his fans have largely thought Owen Kelly, a Birkenheadian, to actually be one of his numerous fictitious characters. This folly was directed by Hannu Puttonen in 2002.
