you have to install the kodak easyshare software if you're on a PC (Windows) For a Mac, it just works seamlessly with iPhoto.

I dont think the v1273 lets you do this either as far as I can tell

Does the V1273 allow you to modify the exposure when you are in video mode? I have the V1253 you see, and it doesn't let me change the exposure.

using a 15ms 4Gb SanDisk Ultra II card. the card has nothing to do with the quality of the video. There is a menu setting to record video at the highest resolution and best quality setting. You might need to go in to that menu and modify the settings. Those seem to 'stick' the others on the sill photo side, dont seem to 'stick' I have to set them every time I power on (which is annoying to say the least) Canon's dont do this, Kodak should change their firmware.

One more question? What memory card are you using?

Cool! I did notice with Video footage the V1253 looks a little clearer when I put both on my HD Dock and watch them on my 42" HD Sony, I am guessing it's because the footage I took with my v1253 was with a "class 4 SDHC PNY" memory card, and the footage I'm taking now with the v1273 I am using a "Class 2 sandisk SDHC" Memory card. My PNY card is full, other-wiz I would put it in my v1273 and check if this is the problem.
Do you know if the memory card have anything to do with video quality?

Yeah I have a combined soccer and basketball video which was all taken with the V1273 (stills AND video) That is the other video that is linked from the web blog.

So far it's pretty good. For video it's really nice. Photo wise there are some things I dont like about it. It doesnt stay 'set' in the last photo taking mode. Always reverts back to "SMART" mode. Battery life could be better, but h.264 encoding takes a lot of computing horsepower, as does driving that touch screen/display!
Stich mode is cool (does it in the camera)!
Camera operation is a bit sluggish compared to a Canon (with dedicated function buttons) but not too bad. It's a keeper!

Well, I guess it's soccer, oops! :) |
