well look it up and see the reason why its called the slr. its obviously based on the sl which mean sport and light and is the luxury grand tourer car of mercedes. slr is the same thing its just more race oriented hence the r, it is a gt car and yes i am sure how to define a gt and ive read the history, the style of the body alone is enough for you to tell its a gt

the 599 is too heavy. if it was the same weight as the merc, it would beat it.

I think a McLaren F1 would be more than a match.
Since McLaren and Mercedes-Benz are joined at the hip (the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren) I think it'd be fair if I introduced the McLaren F1. :)

this challange is a nonsense. firstly comparing just the acceleration on the straight doenst mean anything: what about handling?
secondly, SRL is the top for Mercedes, while the top of Ferrari is the "Enzo": why dont we compare SRL against Enzo?

They sound NOTHING alike. One has a supercharged V8. The other has a NA V12. Totally different sounds. The McMerc's V8 has a very deep undertone but you can hear the high pitched scream of the the supercharger.

You are talking absolutely nonsense.
Instead of just making up stories, perhaps you could provide some proof to your statement

They sound all almost the same so for me the SLR over any Ferrari. |
