Mannnnn, Krupa was an uncaged animal. I wonder if he lived his real life the way that he played the drums?
Does anyone know anything about KRUPA?

That's right cemmi2 & unburriedteq. It was the time. Many whites were afraid of black music/culture (unless promoted by whites). So, many white musicians (Goodman, Herman, Boswells, Mildred Bailey to name a few) had to bring this music to white audiences in an "acceptable" package. But as time passed, so did much of the ignorance. Sadly, few brilliant blacks were widely presented; the likes of Armstrong and Ellington, etc.; but only a small portion of it. Rock n'Roll suffered the same fallacy
