wrong, there are specific algorithms that make solving any rubik cube pattern easy for a computer. It's just a matter of programing the solver to calculate them and be able to read the cube to know what to calculate.

Yes it is obvious that it is a special shuffle and a hard coded pattern thats not really wat is impressive about this video. What is how ever is that this guy was able to build a robot that can "solve" a rubik's cube using lego peices. Personally I beleive that alone to be impressive

It looks like initially the cube is not well shuffled, and the routine is hard-coded.
