on a mac if you press shift option and k it makes a apple logo normally its a box i think on windows

Apple invented the "mouse" which is why they focused on that in their early lives.
They had harsh adverts agains Windows 95 because Win95 threatened Apple's dominance in the market, if Apple advertised outside the USA and over the rest of the world I bet Apple would have been the lead of the late 90s.
