In the bible there is the saying (I can't remember exactly) but : what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul. In Greek mythology the story of King Midas comes to mind, i.e if you lose your soul you can have all the possessions in the world but lose the capacity to enjoy these things.

when hes saying knowledge is limited hes not saying that there will not being anything else to know but that are concious only can take up a limit understanding its like a basket full of fruits that can only take up so many but there will always be more fruit growing.

I think you misunderstand perhaps?! exactly what your wrote live-death-dust is not individual its a matter of life - all life. K. refers to the problem, that we basically have all the same psychological strucutue, because we have all the "same" brain - a thinking brain. Of course it contasains different things however it works the same way in every human being

Knowledge will always be limited. The very nature of knowledge is to reveal more mystery. Trying to understand the nature of reality through knowledge is like trying to measure infinity with a meter stick.
The only manner in which a being can achieve true understanding it to quiet the mind and "be". |
