I want my gravestone to say: "Here lies Ghrem, offline since XXXX" ;) With XXXX as the year i die in :P HP as moral is a nice idea, but why do tanks explode when their pilot doesnt have any moral anymore? And why do zerg have moral at all? They dont even have a free will :( At least for zerg I think HP is an kind of "the overlords blessing" When the overlord doesnt need or want a unit any more he just let it die so he can controll more important units ;P

I'm happy whenever Terran metal takes the day, but seeing Valkyries is simply a treat. Great match, and interesting commentary. Loving the Starcraft questions, too.

From the wireframe it seems they are hit in different places each time. It could be either the health of the actual person, and they have painkillers to make sure they can keep fighting until they die, or hits buckle the steel/cuts power lines etc, so at 1hp it too broken to absorb damage. The luck idea is dumb, luck is by definition unpredictable so you can't show it on a meter.

My theory of hp. Every unit attacks the same spot on a unit. When they go completly through the armor and into the innerworking/flesh the unit is dead.

Hiijonguh, In your "HP is Morale" theory you make it seem as though "blood coming out of your ass" has no effect other than making you sad about it. Also, there is no "decrease in effectiveness" other than being effective at not dying. They attack at the same speed, move at the same speed, and where it applies, use the same abilities with the same energy (cost, max, recharge rate). I do not believe your answer is correct.

"The zerglings don't have the crack upgrade." lol. In starcraft 2 they should just have one upgrade for speed and attack called "CRACK ATTACK!"
