that makes it worse retard...That makes it incest as WELL. pedophilia incest. Yet people enjoy it. Sickos.
"I don't care what people say,
To me you're more than a child
...
But why in spite of our age difference do I cry
Each time I leave you I feel I could die
Nothing means more to me than hearing you say
I'm going to marry you
Will you marry me Uncle Ray?
...
While I, in an effort to baby sit,
Catch of my breath what there is left of it."
Sick song. Sick mother fucking song.

nonsense....the song was written about the singer's baby niece. One of the last sentences of the song is "Nothing means more to me/than hearing you say/I'm going to marry you/Will you marry me Uncle Ray?" - Ray(mond)O'Sullivan was his real name.

Very few singers can maintain a high standard spanning an entire career. What Gilbert should have done was to focus a lot more on Easy Listening ballads like "Claire" and "Alone Again Naturally". This was the genre that made him popular, in fact, it was the style of music that was characteristic throughout the 70's. His other songs weren't nearly as good as these two.... a great talent none-the-less.

A great song from my high school days. Thank you.

Classic by a guy who was at his peak in the 70's. Sad he couldn't keep up that standard throughout... |
