Well would you rather social security money be just a promise or would you rather it actually be in an account with your name on it. Would you rather it be invested in nothing or be invested in things that might actually increase your payout? Social security is not a welfare program, but rather a forced savings program so people don't end up broke when they are at retirement age.
When the government is 10 trillion in debt, I'd rather have something more than an IOU.

I think each individual should have the choice to contribute to SS or not. In my opinion I will not contribute to a fund that will go down in value as it ages as social security only pays out a fraction of what is put into it. You woudl literally be better putting your money in a sock under your bed and saving THAT for retirment. This is NOT a partisan issue this is a financial issue, America MUST educate itself. Check out the Fair Tax Act, it's what I support.

There should not be a charge for a visit period. If I could change it, I'd say that any service that "takes a look at something" should be free of charge or maybe a 20$ fee.
from car places to dentist offices.
They are just taking advantage of your insurence; and they try to weeed you into getting a checkup for nothing.
The money should only come if you get work done.

I went to the dermatologist the other day, thirty minute visit. There was no special procedure or equipment, he just looked at me and prescribed an antibacterial cream.
The bill? $701
This was an HMO doctor, that's whats wrong with privatization.
