no. the arpeggiated bits are coming from the ks's internal sequencer. the notes play automatically and all the changes in the timbre of the sound are being programmed live on the synthi a. the sound effects such as the planes and sirens are all from a tape. as for the footsteps... back in the day they had people running around backstage in the middle of a quadraphonic mic setup. not sure if they still do that part.

I loved the noisy loud bits, I think they were meant to make you think "what the hell is that" just like the first time I heard On the run :) ...anyway I read an interview with Jon Carin and he says they have a playback tape with some live FX. So is Harry pretending to play? :/

I saw this tour in Manchester, England, did anyone else not like the weird really loud bits that are nothign like the record that were added to this version of on the run? I was thinking "what the hell is that?"

And I think he was just pretending to play the VCS3

does anyone know if it's possible to find the actual HD video that was on the screen? I just want to watch it on repeat... easily one of the coolest things i've ever seen.

On the Run part is playback on this show. Sometimes mixed with live sounds from the Synthi A (1.21, 1.59, etc) |
