According to the beginning of the video, this is 120VAC; in the U.S. that operates @ about 60Hz, and with his accent, I'm going to assume he's in the U.S. It's not surprising that it lasted so long, because the biggest spike on almost any sub impedance curve is right around 60Hz. He starts out @ 2 Ohms (dual voice coils in parallel), but that can easily hit 20-50 ohms @ 60Hz. Best guess would be about 30 Ohms, so P=120^2/30=480Watts but that's only a guess. A multi-meter would be better. :o)

Hmm.. for most speakers, true. You'd have to have the impedance curve as these are subwoofers, for the most part. Could be.

the speaker will be seeing a lot less than 12kw because its impedance would be higher than 4ohms at ~50-60 hz.

the speaker's sound has a frequency of 60 Hz, and the people talk english with, i think, an american accent, which means it is most likely 120V.

220V @ 4 Ohms is 12KW. Fortunately for our hero, at 50Hz (60 goes with 100V (Asia) / 120V (Americas) as 50Hz goes with 220V in the UK and EU), the napalm is rated at 3KW continuous, so it lasted a few minutes at 300% over rating. At 500 pounds, that's an expensive giggle :P
